Chambers County Well-Represented at the
Texas State Fair Thanks to CCHC and
County Judge Jimmy Sylvia

The Chambers County Historical Commission Chair Bob Wheat and County Judge Jimmy Sylvia provided Chambers County brochures to be given out at the Texas State Fair this October at the booth operated by the Texas State Historical Commission, Texas Independence Trail Region (TITR), Texas Forts Trails, and Texas YES!

TITR Regional Coordinator, Seneca McAdams, reported that Tuesday had a slow start, but the rest of the time was incredibly successful as they were swamped and handing out the material "hand over fist". Seneca reported that "it was INCREDIBLY successful", and that they "did talk to quite a few teachers and Boy Scout groups too". Thanks to CCHC, Judge Sylvia, and the THC partners, Chambers County was well-represented at the 2006 Texas State Fair.
