HISTORICAL COMMISSION PARTICIPATES WITH LIBRARY

Several members of the Chambers County Historical Commission participated with the Chambers County Library last week to present programs relating to the 150th Birthday of Chambers County. The programs were attended by the many youngsters and parents that are utilizing the County Library System during the summer.

On Tuesday, Pudge and Kay Willcox spoke to a group in Anahuac. They described how residents of Chambers County may have lived 150 years ago when Chambers County was created.

Commission Chair Bob Wheat spoke in Winnie on Wednesday, followed by Commission Vice Chair R.B. Scherer, Jr. speaking in Mt. Belvieu on Thursday.
