  Beach City's Program was held on Saturday June 10, 2006 at the Beach City Community Building. The program started at 1:00 p.m. and was completed at 4:30 p.m.. The program was a resounding success. Approximately 85 people were in attendance including Beach City's first Mayor Eloice Jordan and current and former elected City officials and Sam Houston, IV.

Presenter included Kevin Ladd from Wallisville Heritage Park on the Barrow and Fisher families, Sam Houston’s home in Beach City called Ravenmoor and provided a recapitulation of the founding and incorporation of Beach City. Tommy Clayton discussed the Brick manufacturing business on Cedar Bayou. Calvin Copeland made a presentation on the construction and history of the HL&P (now NRG) Cedar Bayou Generating Plant’s Cooling Pond which has become a valuable nature preserve and has added much to the to the fish habitat and production of Trinity Bay.

Jim Josey and A. Rusty Senac recapped the history of the Volunteer Fire Department. Former Beach City Council Member and one of the Founders of the Beach City EMS Madge Labit and Pat McDonald provided the history of the Emergency Medical Services in the Beach City area.

Reverend Sam Hughes, Brothers M. E. Smith and Wilbur Snyder provided the history of Fisher Road Baptist Church. Jay Hammes provided the history of the Beazley Family and Steve Dauzat discussed his grandfather, Gus Dauzat who served as Beach City Marshall from 1966 to 1984. Doug Crawley discussed the Crawley Family history and the very well known “Crawley’s Fish Camp”. Former Mayor Senac said “No one seems to know where Beach City is but they always knew where Crawley’s Fish Camp was located.”

Other presentations included the Mayes Estate, a presentation by Sam Houston’s Great grand son, Sam Houston, IV and a number of entertaining stories about characters told by Charlie Flewellen.
