In a few months, we will celebrate two very important events of our American year. These events are Labor Day and Election Day.
This year, We The People want a Labor Day in which every Legal American who works can feel that he has a part, and that one of the hardest working man in America, the President himself, would feel proud to lead a Labor Day parade.
We The People, want a Labor Day in which the girl at her computer, the accountant in his office, the office manager and the Americans working on production line can feel equally that they belong, because they are Americans and they have a Right to participate.
What We The People want is a UNITED, United States. And that's what we are going to have.
What we want is a balanced society, made possible by the co-operation of all classes of legal, law-abiding citizens, brought together by fair rules to insure the comfort, safety and well-being of all, so that we can, as a united people, blend willingly into a perfect nation.
We want this perfect union to be not only our hope, but the hope of the world, of all nations. We want this Union to be a Union of free men and women, proud of their varying origin, unashamed of doubt and hesitation, but secure in their knowledge that in the long run, no government of great bodies of peoples, can hope to live unless it takes into account every last man and woman and child within its borders.
Here in America we can have such a balanced society of legal Americans for one reason, and that reason is : This Nation is in the midst of its "work Period" as a nation.
It does not seem to be generally understood that every Nation has a "work period" in its span of life. Just as every individual has a "work period" in his or her life. It just so happens that this is the "work period" in the span of life of this Nation. Probably ninety-nine percent of the people of this nation, who are capable of working, who are genuinely
Concerned about a fruitful existence, work or want to work. Unable to secure a job due to illegial workers taking jobs from legal citizens, creates an uneasy lack of trust toward our Government. Jobs have been lost due to our Government allowing American companies to move factories out of the country, to foreign nations, for the almighty dollar. Those foreign nations reap the rewards, our workers suffer the consequences. Sadly, "Made In America" has gone the way of the dinosaur.
Also approaching very soon, is the Other important day in America. Election Day !
In order to form this more perfect Union, we want to see business begin to manage its own affairs again, so that its own affairs will not have to be managed by Government.
"Laissez-faire" is either a foreign phrase which means little to most of us, or it has to become a re-evaluated phrase which means something to all of us. Translated literally from the French, of coursr, it means "you allow us to do". But for a hundred years, translated literally into the fabric of business, thas been the edict of business -to-Government saying, "You keep your hands off and leave us alone". Not so anymore, big brother is again controlling our business.
Now, in all fairness to the American business world, American business has really tried to control its on affairs in many outstanding ways; and in tens of thousands of
concerns, has managed to build up a degree of fairness and an understanding of national needs far greater than many people realize.
And, this again, is the hope of America. For a business world running under full steam, self-controlled and mutually controlling, can do a wonderful job for a nation that wants to work and will work.
But, businesses must be brought back to America for American workers.
As we approach Labor Day, We The People also hope that Labor will once again grow to its stature, that its esteemed leaders will not continue to make the same mistakes in the future that so many of our business leaders have made in the past. And, We The People are going to get tough if it doesn't work out that way !
So far as our Government is concerned, We The People, are a little bit sick of having somebody else decide whats best for us, as if we were little children in a nursery. We don't like to see men or women who we elect to do the will of the people, sell us out because of lobby groups influencing our elected officials, or special interest groups offering illegial pay-offs. We are tired of being ham-strung by bureaucrats seeking to pad their own pockets at out expense.
We do not want our Government helping our enemies by the "freedom of press news releases", yet demand to be informed of events that concern this country. We never ask our government to help our enemies and we don't expect that. But, we do want a reliable news source from our government instead of the daily "hooey", "double-talk" or rhetoric
We get from someone else who decides what we need to know or how much we can take. We want to know truthfully what we are up against every day.
We want to know, so We The People, decide what we need to do. We want to know the truths about our war efforts, the economy and deficits, the defense of our borders in stopping this flood of illegials infliltrating our country, the concerns of federal courts striking our belief in God, of which this country was founded on, we do not want flags of foreign nations being paraded down the streets of America. We The People are sick and tired of Old Glory being burned and defaced. We want real answers on our concerns of energy costs.
Mr. President, you must stand up now! Senators and members of Congress, this applies to you as well.
We The People are mad as hell.
We do not want, nor do we tolerate any longer, important issues being stalled along until after Election Day, for fear that We The People, will vote to remove those elected officials in government who turn their backs to those who elected them.
Let no one forget, this is the working span of our national life, and in order to exist and survive as the greatest Nation on earth, the voice of "We The People, For The People, and By The People" will ring loud and clear.
